B-n-W and a trip

Just before going to Madrid for a once in a lifetime experience, I did laundry at my current dorms for probably the last time.. I got in the mood for artistic shooting, so chose a B&W effect that made the pics come out as if they were from a horror film from the 50's. So - enjoy, and I'll see you when I get back: more tanned, speaking spanish better, and also - Happy to be doing what I want, with whom I want, and chasing my dreams at last...

At Night

London Calling, that's the song that's been running through my head in the last couple of days, and I wasn't even following the Olympic games. But I guess my subconscious was singing.
I don't like events at this magnitude. I enjoy them and I thing the concept has a lot of potential and does contribute to the unification af people around the world. But it also epitomizes what's wrong in the western culture so sharply. Chasing the gold, disrespecting others, excessive patriotism, racism, and I haven't started talking about the games themselves! And economically - all the state resources are put into these games, ignoring from internal problems, just like what happened in Beijing (child labor) and Greece (the economic downfall that the Olympics  in 2004 set off).
I don't know how to explain it but whenever I think about the Olympic games, I get moody. So, in light of the Olympic games, I've attached some spooky pics from last week. At night all the fears come out. And our shame.

London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared, and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
London calling, now don't look to us
Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing

The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river

London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go it alone
London calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out, and draw another breath
London calling, and I don't wanna shout
But while we were talking, I saw you nodding out
London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes

The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river

Now get this

London calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
After all this, won't you give me a smile?
London calling

Retro Feel

I'm in a good mood. In spite of the summer - the weather is nice, I had a good say at work and yesterday I even started to check the exams, so I'm right on schedule. Oh yeah - and I'm more in love than ever :).. so, no wonder I was in the mood for a photoshoot.
I hereby present to you the improvised pics, with a retro effect to mix it up and a cool skirt that my sis bought me at H&M a few months ago and only now I'm starting to take advantage of it.
Enjoy, and have a great week! Make it great! Make it work! ;)
