Goodbye Dorms

The Mt. Scopus dorms. I've lived there for almost 2 years. I've endured problematic roommates and interesting ones. I've built my little home, had my first love, hosted my first party, had my first breakup and generally have gone through a lot there. The truth is that the dorms will always feel like a home to me, and I'm thankful for the sanctuary they've given me, and the beautiful settings for my photographs.
So, this post is dedicated to my previous home - my dorms, I will miss you, and thank you so much for the good and the bad moments - I've learnt from them all.

Retro Feel

I'm in a good mood. In spite of the summer - the weather is nice, I had a good say at work and yesterday I even started to check the exams, so I'm right on schedule. Oh yeah - and I'm more in love than ever :).. so, no wonder I was in the mood for a photoshoot.
I hereby present to you the improvised pics, with a retro effect to mix it up and a cool skirt that my sis bought me at H&M a few months ago and only now I'm starting to take advantage of it.

At The Lot

Another weird day has passed. I feel powerless - some of the classes I'm taking this year despair me, seriously. If only I could study only what I want and what interests me, I'm sure I would have been much more eager to study. The problem is that it's not up to me, and these are still my duties and I have to handle them like an adult. uhh an adult. Actually I've always been an adult, and now it's my time to have some fun, to relax, to work on myself, and figure out what I want. So I'm studying like a good girl, but my attitude has changed - I've changed. Now more than ever (yet still not completely) I take everything in proportions...
I've attached a shoot that I've been wanting to do for a really long time, but not in it's original format - maybe one day I'll do that as well. At the lot, during one of the coldest winters I can recall, serene is the best way to describe this urban view. Inviting, warm and metalic. I love parking lots...

Artsy-fartsy and a Song

Now that I've settled down a bit in my new place, I feel like it's time to get back to what's really important - fashion!! Well, I got a bit over-excited so I chose the more artistic direction for this photoshoot. The view from the afternoon from my apartment is the lovely background and the outfit is one of my favorites - a skirt with a vest.. What a killer combination ;)

first photography experience

Background images, just to give the urban vibe...

70's-ish start. I wanted to capture this very common moment, and make it feel like everyone or anyone can be in this situation. Like this can be everyman...

I did the styling and accessorizing with personal pieces and my own clothes. 

 

I like to shoot backs, and it really fit perfectly for this photoshoot because this angle, more than anything, gives the feeling of "everyman"...

My favorite picture. My style. My vision. My product. What a great photoshoot it was, and the model, Nelly, helped me so much in my first experience as a photographer. Hopefully I'll have many more.
